no charge. There is however, a fee charged by Godaddy for the initial
registration of your domain name.
There is a monthly charge for hosting your site on a server. Prices
vary depending on the features required for your site. (We will be
happy to help you chose the appropriate server.)

Will everyone see my web site
the same?
Users will see some things differently depending on their browser
and screen resolution setting. We design sites with that in mind and
preview them in different machine (PC & MAC), several browser
types (IE & NETSCAPE) and resolution settings before publishing.

Who actually owns my web site?
When we register your domain, the person you designate will be listed
as the registrant administrative and billing contact. You are the
owner of your web site. When you hire Chris Design to build
your site, you own the site when it is all done. You can move it
to any server, reproduce it on a CD to distribute to your clients,
change it or add to it...whatever you want — it’s yours
to do as you see fit!

Can I maintain my web site myself?
Most sites need regular maintenance — to check for broken links,
to make sure that the code is keeping up with new technology and browsers,
to update products and services or other content or feature updates.
CHRIS DESIGN can maintain your sites for you or we can train you in
the technology needed to do the maintenance yourself. Back

Why can't I find my web site in
the search engines?
Ninety percent of your search engine traffic is going to come from
the following search engines and indexes:
| Yahoo |
Alta Vista |
Lycos |
| Google |
Infoseek |
HotBot |
| whatUseek WebCrawler |
AOL NetFind |
MSN Search |
| Snap |
PlanetSearch |
Excite |
Once your site has been submitted to the top Search Engines they
may require several weeks, or even months to actually spider and
list your web site in their directory. How fast your site is listed
depends on each individual Search Engines database update schedule.
We hand-submit each page of a site to the search engines listed
above to ensure successful placement. Depending on the site and
its audience, we may submit it to a handful of additional targeted
services.
(Some submitting services are not free)
